These are the 12 paintings that the short was created around. They started as a type of self portrait. Each painting portraying a woman in a role that she inhibits within her daily life, for example, the reader, the thinker, the mother, the yogi, the worker, etc. Though these roles can be repetitive and banal, the surreal settings of the paintings show another level of reality behind the banalities, one of color and magic.
